UADM hosts $100 Day!

The University of Alabama’s Dance Marathon hosted “$100 Day” on Wednesday, Sept. 20. This day encouraged University of Alabama Dance Marathon (UADM) staff and participants, referred to as Miracle Makers, to each raise at least $100 in 24 hours. The day is part of the organization’s effort to raise $450,000 by February through a series of activities. All proceeds benefit Children’s of Alabama, in Birmingham.

Activities began at 9 a.m. with a postcard-making station on the Quad. Beginning at 11 a.m. a snow cone truck was parked on campus, with all the proceeds serving as direct donations. Additionally, a football inflatable and a charity drawing for a Chick-Fil-A gift card was also happening on campus to get students involved.  Also, Chipotle hosted a Spirit Night with 50% of proceeds from each participating ticket benefitting Children’s of Alabama. Through all of these activities, UADM raised a total of $63,710.30 in 24 hours for the kids!
