No Shave November

Children’s of Alabama would like to thank the Dothan, Alabama Police Department for their huge success in their fundraising campaign they recently held.  In the month of November, officers raised money for their “Paint Em Up and Let Em Grow” campaign.  The male officer raising the most money is allowed to keep a beard through spring and the top female fundraiser is allowed to have painted finger nails.  It is soo amazing to see how the Dothan community comes together to support the officers and raise money for the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Hope and Cope program.  On December 19th, the department presented a check to Carmen Maddox at the city’s monthly city council meeting.  The amount raised this year was $27,116!!   We are soo grateful for this group and their continued efforts to make an impact in the lives of the patients we serve.
