My Why Wednesday – Jessica Baeder, Miss America’s Outstanding Teen

10 years ago Children’s of Alabama took amazing care of me and now it is my honor and privilege to serve them, along with my sweet sister, Miss America, as a National Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

This photo was taken when I was an inpatient at Children’s of Alabama. My baby sister crawled up in the bed with me and “called” the nurse (using the call button as a phone) for some “ice cream and a book.” They promptly arrived!

The more you support Children’s of Alabama and other Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the more resources they can provide to families, the more they can ensure no child is turned away from services, and the more they can make miracles happen!
