Get ready to run, Birmingham! It’s time to see what we’ve become. Our specialized marathon course is a beautiful run through our city unlike anything you’ve run before. The course showcases Birmingham’s growth, touring downtown, highlighting the new hot spots as well as the traditions the Magic City is known for, before heading into Homewood and Mountain Brook.
Our half marathon course is a course of its own and is entirely downtown. Both of our courses will take you on a tour of the up-and-coming areas of Birmingham including sites like The Lyric Theater, Avondale, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, the historic 16th Street Baptist Church, the beautiful St. Paul’s Cathedral, The Pizitz, and so much more!
We also have an after party for everyone to enjoy right after you cross the finish! Join us after the race for Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, live music from a well-known regional headlining act (stay tuned for that announcement!), a kids zone, and more!
The best part? All proceeds benefit Magic Moments, the only wish-granting organization devoted exclusively to children in Alabama with chronic life-threatening illnesses, and the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s of Alabama.
