Thank You Mayer Electric!

A Huge “Thank You” to Mayer Electric in Dothan, Alabama for their recent fundraising efforts for the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders.  Mayer Electric held three events in September that benefited the ACCCBD, raising $1,470 for Children’s of Alabama. Dunking for Dollars, a Cookout and Cowboy Up or Pucker Up were held at the Mayer Electric office, and both events supported research and treatment for children at the ACCCBD.

Last year, more than 190 children in Alabama were diagnosed with cancer and blood diseases, and more than 90 percent of Alabama’s children with these illnesses receive treatment at the ACCCBD at Children’s.

“Every donation helps our mission to take care of ill and injured children in the state of Alabama,” said Carmen Maddox, the South East Alabama coordinator of community development for Children’s of Alabama. “Without the support of our community partners, like the Dothan Fire Department, we would not be able to fund programs like those available at the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancers and Blood Disorders at Children’s of Alabama.”
