Thank you Alabama Forestry Association

More than 150 individuals braved the rain on a blustery Saturday to attend the 2017 Alabama Loggers Council (ALC) Annual Meeting in Prattville on October 28, 2017. This was the largest group of attendees to the ALC event in several years. Children’s of Alabama and the CHIPS Center had a table at the event to share information about how the Log A Load for Kids program directly benefits the CHIPS Center at Children’s of Alabama.  Emily Hornak, Director of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Program at Children’s of Alabama and Deb Schneider, Director of the CHIPS Center, all spoke to the attendees in a group setting about the impact that Log A Load for Kids has, including thanking them for their fund raising efforts in 2016 which raised more than $194,000.  The meeting and the luncheon held at the Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center at 2500 Legends Circle.  The Alabama Loggers Council attendees also donated more than $2,000 to go towards the 2017 fund raising total.  Every attendee contributed to that $2,000 total for the Children’s of Alabama and the CHIPS Center.  We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Alabama Forestry Association and all their members for their continued support of the Log A Load for Kids program which has raised more than $6.2 million for Children’s of Alabama and the CHIPS Center since 1992.
